About the Project DigiROM
After nine months of effort, the project DigiROM will be completed by the end of October. Peter
Bell explains the requirements of the project, discusses previous conceptual work, clarifies some terms and underscores the challenges that must be mastered: “What is RomBuk, Kalderasch und Képes levelezõlap? Critical digitalization of a problematic postcard world.” The challenges go beyond the title and label in different languages and imagery because the inventory of postcards come from almost every country in Europe. As a result, there is a wide variety of their subject, which can only be partly be compared with other material. These are challenges and concepts that need to be considered so that the implementation and digitalization can begin next year.
