This year’s autumnal storms have inspired the creation of a stormy image series. In William Turners picture Hannibal is threatened by a dangerous snowstorm; the storm-picture of Eugéne Isabey shows, how huge waves are breaking on the rocks; in the picture of Hannah Höch the storm carries objects and people away and in Rousseaus stormy jungle the rain patters on a cowering wild cat. All these pictures are showing the impressive force of nature.
