Her formal language is clear and at the same time animated. The Swiss artist Sophie Taeuber-Arp designed almost all areas of life in her interdisciplinary work at the beginning of the 20th century. In the 1930s she produced elementary, simplified works made of circles, squares and rectangles. This was her most intensive period of work, during which she created around 120 works.
Sophie Taeuber-Arp’s impressive oeuvre, from handicraft works to abstract paintings, is presented in the retrospective.
