The Human Body and its Relationship to Space

She is one of the world’s best-known contemporary German artists. At the centre of Rebecca Horn’s life’s work, which spans six decades, is always the body and its movement in space. Unusual postures and movements, working with masks, bandages, fans and animal feathers are a fundamental part of her artistic practice.
The exhibition uses numerous works by the artist – from filmic works from the 1970s to the mechanical sculptures of the 1980s and her immersive spatial installations of the 1990s and 2000s – to trace the connecting lines between Rebecca Horn’s early and late work.
