In 2010, 21 museums from Bochum to Witten joined forces to form the RuhrArtMuseums. Their wide range of collections can be discovered online at ‘21 x 21. The Collections of the RuhrArtMuseums’ with around 420 works of art. Each of the 21 museums presents one work of art as inspiration, representative of its own collection. The other museums responded with a work from their collections, where possible and appropriate in terms of content.
Around 100 of these works are grouped by theme in the exhibition, promising a unique journey through the collections.
