Mostly photographers remain behind their camera and only experimental self portraits show the artists occasionally. But photographers like Man Ray, Anselm Adams, Edward Steichen, Brassai and others changed once their position from the back to the front of the camera, as you can see in the shown portraits.
A gallery in Berlin is presenting portraits of the famous photographers of the 20th century, taken by Arnold Crane, who said that he waited for a good motif until his protagonists became friends.
