Image series 07 / 2024: Jeff Wall
Staged Photographs
Large-format photographs composed in a complex way from a large number of individual shots – often inspired by everyday scenes or inspired by models from art history – are typical works by Canadian artist Jeff Wall. They look like composed film styles and have a certain timelessness about them.
In eleven exhibition rooms, 55 works by Jeff Wall offer a new look at the artist’s oeuvre as well as a variety of thematic and formal references between older and more recent works.
