About 400 years ago, the philosopher Jacob Böhme sought to bring opposing schools of thought together. He did not view religion and science as contradictory; for him, researching the natural world was closely connected to awareness of God.
Jacob Böhme is one of the most important German thinkers, who held a great fascination for writers and artists of later generations. The exhibition presents selected manuscripts and printed editions of the writings of Bohemia as well as graphics, paintings, scientific instruments and objects of the arts and crafts.
