Almost forgotten today, the Italian artist Guido Reni was a star during his lifetime in the 17th century, successful and celebrated in Europe. He received the nickname “Il divino” during his lifetime, a name that also refers to his themes. He translated the beauty of the divine into painting like no other.
Around 130 of Guido Reni’s paintings, drawings and prints open up a new perspective on the artist in the exhibition.
