Colour Chromatics

Multicolored structural drawings, which the sculptor and painter Heinz Mack himself called “colour chromatics”, are part of his work from 1960. The subject is the continuum of coloured light, both the sequence of light colours and the transition between the individual colours. For him, colour intensity always correlates with light intensity, which spreads out as a colour space.
Around 70 works will be shown in the exhibition from the years 1958 to 2023, including the “Chromatischen Konstellationen”. The focus is on the more recent work, complemented by some reference images from the earlier phases.
