The Topic room rests upon constructivist principles as it provides

• an authentic application context,
• multiple perspectives on the content,
• realistical and complex tasks of problem solving,
• adaptivity.

The adaptivity here becomes realised in

• arbitrary accesses and learning methods,
• graduated levels of information,
• graded facilities and
• different task challenges

and not on the basis of automatically created user profiles.

A subject-specific content, its objects, complex and realistic problem-situations and individual efforts concerning comprehensive intellectual questions are taking centre stage.

These approaches were realised in various applications that are unfortunately no longer available via browser today.
